The Dursley Running Club Peaks Race returns for 2024!
Last held in 2019, Dursley Running Club’s infamous Peaks Race is a challenging off road running event that includes some of Dursley’s most testing climbs – Cam Peak, Cam Long Down, Uley Bury, and Downham Hill. The run rewards all runners with dramatic and expansive views of the surrounding countryside.
The race is 10.31km long with 318m of climb, the equivalent of a category B Fell Race! If you like hilly races then this one is for you and it’s also a popular warm-up race for the upcoming Dursley Dozen in February!
Race Information
- Date and Time – Sunday 20th October 2024 – Start time 10.30am
- Race HQ – Dursley Peaks Race starts and finishes at The Peak Academy, Drake Lane, Dursley, GL11 5HD. What3words – ///quote.wiped.spruced
- Entry Price – £13 affiliated / £15 unaffiliated
- Prizes – Prizes for the winners and (depending on entries) for veterans in 5-year categories.
- Facilities – Toilets and changing facilities at Race HQ, parking is very limited. Light refreshments may be available – more info to follow.
- The race is fully marshalled with a water station part way around and at the end.
- Trail shoes are required for this event due to the terrain.
Parking is very limited for this event so if runners can car share, get a lift, or walk to Race HQ it would be greatly appreciated.
Entries are refundable (only through the club and not via Entry Central) before 17 October less a charge of £2 but may be exchanged free of charge up until the event’s closing date of 18 Oct 2024 23:59.
