Berkeley Sprint Triathlon, Sunday 21st July 2024

This event is ideal for those new to multi-skills competitions, as well as more experienced triathletes who want to test themselves against a competitive field on a fast and flat course.

Sprint

Triathletes will participate in a pool-based 396m swim in the 18m outdoor pool at Berkeley School, followed by a 22km bike ride on mostly country lanes through the rolling countryside around Berkeley. The route features two laps of the UC184 time trial circuit (see the link to the route below). The 5km run to finish is on a fast course on quiet roads, finishing on the playing field behind Berkeley Primary School (see the link to the route below).

Super Sprint

If you choose to enter the Super Sprint event, you will tackle a 216m swim in the outdoor pool, followed by one lap of the UC184 circuit (12km), and then an out-and-back 2.5km run through Berkeley.

Junior Aquathlon

New for this year, we are also offering a Junior Aquathlon for those aged 10-19. This will be split into three age categories, each with different distance swims and runs. The two youngest events will take place within the school grounds. The oldest Junior Aquathlon event will use the swim and run elements from the Super Sprint event.
