With the course approximately 12 miles in length there are certainly a lot of vantage points! For those spectators looking to stay close to the town, the start is within a stone’s throw of The Old Spot (which opens from midday and serves Sunday lunch) while the finish is in front of Bank Café which is open from 09:00.
Elsewhere, Leaf and Ground is an excellent viewing point however if you watch from here, please try to limit your time in the car park to one hour so as not to prevent other customers from visiting.
Another popular place to spectate from is the car park at Stinchcombe Golf Course (not the one next to the club house) and the what3words to find it are lilac.chest.headset. Sorry, there is no accurate postcode. Speaking of the club house, it will be open from 10:00 serving tea and coffee for Dursley Dozen spectators. Around the golf course there are three great areas to watch from. Runners will…
- Exit and re-enter the woods near the club house from approximately 11:10 W3W topics.cobble.stacks
- Reach the top of the ascent from Leaf and Ground from approximately 11:40 W3W reserve.jokes.ownership
- Then climb the precipice at Drakestone Point W3W truckload.goodnight.promotes
- Run along in front of the car park mentioned above as they head back towards the woods
Breakheart Quarry is another popular place to watch runners as they near the finish. There is limited parking available and the running route loops around the quarry which offers multiple places to watch from. W3W for the entrance is march.foot.dirt or GL11 6ER. Runners will also run parallel to this road on their way to the top of Whiteway Hill.

There are various car parks for runners and spectators alike and we encourage car sharing where possible. Unfortunately, there is no parking at Race HQ however there are plenty of other options as listed below. Please always park responsibly and check for time limits for your stay as these vary. Marshals
Like many other races, the Dursley Dozen couldn’t take place without a huge number of marshals who will be giving up their time on what’s hopefully a brisk, sunny morning. They’re out there making sure the event goes smoothly and to help make sure everyone gets around ok. Give them a thumbs up or thank them as you run on by…

Accommodation
For those travelling to the Dursley Dozen from a little further afield, we’re afraid to say that Dursley isn’t blessed with many places to stay pre-race. However, click or tap on these words for a (hopefully) helpful link to the nearest Airbnb options.
