The Dursley Running Club Peaks Race returns for 2024!

Last held in 2019, Dursley Running Club’s infamous Peaks Race is a challenging off road running event that includes some of Dursley’s most testing climbs – Cam Peak, Cam Long Down, Uley Bury, and Downham Hill. The run rewards all runners with dramatic and expansive views of the surrounding countryside.

The race is 10.31km long with 318m of climb, the equivalent of a category B Fell Race!  If you like hilly races then this one is for you and it’s also a popular warm-up race for the upcoming Dursley Dozen in February!

Entries near full capacity for 2024 Dursley Dozen with just under 100 places remaining

Dursley Running Club are excited to announce that entries for what will be the 34th edition of their infamous, lung-busting trail run – the Dursley Dozen – are almost sold out. With just under 100 places available until the event reaches full capacity, returning runners or those thinking of taking part for the very first time are urged to enter very soon to avoid missing out. The race takes place on Sunday, February 18, 2024 with a start time of 10:30.

After the near sell-out success of the 2023 edition that took place under beautiful sunny skies in late February, the race will once again be held on the same undulating course in 2024. Taking runners up, down, and around Stinchcombe Hill, the 12-mile course offers stunning views of the Severn estuary and boasts just over 2000 feet of climbing.

Arguably the ultimate trail running experience in the Cotswolds, the Dursley Dozen is the perfect event for runners who enjoy a challenge as well as racing offroad. All finishers will receive a commemorative technical t-shirt as a memento of their hard work after crossing finish line in the centre of Dursley.
